Taste and aromas

On the nose it offers fine, exotic aromas with notes of lychee, rose petals and lemon blossom. On the palate it is fresh, with a pleasant structure, a light body and lively acidity. Its colour is crystal clear with golden green hues.

The Moschofilero grape

Moschofilero is a Greek grape with pink skin, the most aromatic of the Fileri family. Despite the colour of its berries, it is mostly used for dry white wines, and it is one of the varieties allowed in PGI Peloponnese wines.

It is a late harvested grape. Its wines are known for delicate, expressive aromas of citrus, green fruit and rose petals, a light body and lively acidity.

Our vineyard in Skotini

Our vineyards are privately owned and made up of three plots, each with a different soil and altitude. They lie around Skotini, a small mountain village in Argolida, built in a valley on the slopes of Mount Oligyrtos and Mount Trachy, where vine growing is one of the main occupations.

Our Moschofilero grows at 820 metres, in sandy soil of a dark brown colour. It is harvested in early October and fermented in stainless steel tanks.

From the vineyard to the bottle

Our winery was founded by Vasileios Magavalis in 1998 and is still a family business. It is built on several levels, so the must moves by natural flow, without the help of machines. We have our own laboratory, where we test our wines, including microbiological analyses, and our own bottling line.

Serving and food pairing

Moschofilero wines are generally served chilled, at 7 to 12 degrees Celsius. We recommend ours at 12 degrees. It goes well with fruit salads, grilled fish, dishes with white sauces, cured meats, pizza and spicy cheeses.
